Global Wildlife Center

Travis and I visited the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, LA this weekend. It is about 1 hour north of New Orleans. It is a 600 acre "safari" where people ride around on "wagons" pulled by tractors in order to view animals in their natural habitat. It is awesome! They have all sorts of animals, deer, rea's (spelling?), giraffes, llamas, bethlehem donkeys, kangaroos, bison, texas longhorns, beefalos (combo of a cow and a bison), zebras, and some other animals I can't remember the names of.

They also have food you can purchase for cheap to feed the animals (except the zebras) when they come up to your wagon. There are a couple of animals, the camel and llama, that you can feed out of your hand.
They also had a baby giraffe that was born in mid-January. He was 6 feet tall and adorable!
Travis enjoyed himself- he had never been. Stephanie has been once before but it was about 8 years ago. If anyone who reads this ever comes to visit, we will be glad to go again and take you with us! It is fun!! To view our photo album of pictures, click here.
