Last night after Travis and I played trivia with Tracey and Nelson at Fabiano's we arrived home to an unanticipated greeter. Travis went to the mailbox and I unlocked the front door. When I opened the door, I heard "jingle jingle jingle" and then felt 2 little feet standing on my foot. I turned the lights on and there was Peeper greeting me at the front door! He had managed to move the gate on his "room" just enough to slip through and thus spent the day roaming around our house. We think he got out fairly soon after we left since he hadn't eaten any food (he is a little piggy so it is usually gone shortly after we give it to him.) Travis and I immediately start a full house search for puppy "presents." We didn't find any "big presents" but he left 3 "liquid presents" on the rug in our bedroom. We cracked up! He has always been obsessed with that rug and finally got the opportunity to pee on it. Travis soaked up the "present" and I Febreezed the rug throroughly. I then went around to all the carpet (not much) in our house and Febreezed it as well. Our house smells REALLY good right now. We were quite impressed at how well he apparently behaved while having the run of the house. He didn't play with the trash or shoes. He might have played with his squirrel and we know he played with little Lamby (apparently he had fallen off the bed the night before) but nothing was messed up or damaged. YAY! We have now placed his food can on the other side of the gate so he can't crawl through any more. Anyway, just thought I would share another adventure with our crazy pup!
